Leading the Mezzan Qatar Manufacturing, Sales & Distribution business since March 2020, Tom joined Mezzan Holding Company in January 2018 as Sales Director before being promoted to General Manager of the Mezzan UAE business. He has 15 years’ experience in FMCG in the Middle East, having worked with brands such as Almarai Dairy and at Mondelez International (formerly Kraft Foods) before joining Mezzan, where he was Global Sales Force Automation Lead (Back Office) for Mondelez International. Tom has had the privilege of working with agency brands such as, Red Bull, Aqua Panna and San Pellegrino, as Distributor Partner for the UAE market.
An accomplished business leader, with a key core skill of building sustainable winning teams and transforming business bottom line, Tom is a detail, analytical and solution-oriented professional. Tom joined the Mezzan Qatar business to head up the forward growth and development of the Qatar business and hopes to expand its significant Bottled Water and Chips manufacturing into new Snacking sub-categories as well as starting up new business units, focusing for example on the distribution of Global and Regional brands.
Tom successfully completed a number of senior management development programs in the UK and USA, including Accelerating Sales Force Performance at Kellogg Business School, Northwestern University. He also a holds of a Diploma in Marketing and is a Member of the Institute of Management. In his private life, Tom is an avid photographer and certified fine art printer.
Speaking of his business achievements, he has delivered double-digit net profit growth through hands-on successful experience in transforming business performance as a result of resetting the cost base, investment in people, operating efficiency and productivity tools, re-engineered route and speed to market, delivering double-digit gross to net company performance. Achieving this through people and a supporting capability development focus, raising capability and performance ahead of annual business plan.
